Consumer health data privacy policy
This policy describes how Substantia Labs LLC ("we" or "us") handles consumer health data, as that term is defined in laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act. It applies to the Substantia app.
Consumer health data we collect, and why
We collect the following categories of consumer health data:
- The supplements and wellness practices you add to My Stack.
- The reason, dose, schedule and check-ins you record for each item.
- The claims you open and save, where they relate to an item in your stack or to a health topic.
We collect and use this data only to provide the app to you: to save your stack, show it on your devices, show the research behind the items in it, and show what is new or unread. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Where the data comes from
We collect consumer health data only from you, when you enter it in the app or use the app.
Consumer health data we share
We do not share consumer health data with third parties or affiliates. We have no affiliates.
The data is stored and processed for us by a service provider, Supabase, which hosts our database and accounts in the United States and handles the data only on our instructions.
Your rights and how to use them
- Confirm and access. You can see your stack in the app at any time. You can also ask us to confirm whether we hold consumer health data about you and to send you a copy.
- Withdraw consent. You can stop the collection of this data at any time by removing items from your stack or by deleting your data.
- Delete. You can delete your data and account in the app: open the Profile tab, tap the gear to open Settings, and choose the option to delete your data and account. You can also ask us to delete it.
To make a request, email support@substantia.app. We will respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our response, and we will tell you the outcome in writing. If your appeal is denied, you can contact your state Attorney General.
